Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D
Kill as many zombies as you can, quick!
Capcom’s successful horror survival series is moving into a more intense game experience. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D gives you unyielding action where you defeat the enemy against the clock. The game is set in the typical Resident Evil Universe and features Mercenary missions from both Resident Evil 4 and 5 in dramatic 3D combat.
The Mercenaries 3D will take advantage of Nintendo 3DS’s WiFi connectivity,
giving gamers around the world the ability to join forces in co-op play against those nasty non-zombi zombies. The game will release June 28th exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. Arma 3
Releasing next year for the PC Bohemia Interactive recently announced its latest military simulation game, Arma 3, will release in the summer of 2012 for the PC. Bohemia reports that after overhauling its game engine, Arma 3 will have some of the most detailed environments the series has seen thus far.
In Arma 3, NATO takes on invading armies from the east with you taking on the role of Captain Scott Miller. You will have access to a number of different aircraft, ships and vehicles, not to mention a whole range of weapons from pistols to turrets. While game play is open ended, your mission is to investigate a military secret on a Mediterranean island.
The game includes both cooperative and competitive online multiplayer modes. A level editor and mod tools used to create custom scenarios will also become available. Expect more information on this game coming out of E3 next month.
Free Xbox 360 for Students
Microsoft’s give-away
Its pretty common for students to work at convincing their parents that they need a computer purely for educational purposes, but rather rare to try and convince them you need a gaming console for school. While Microsoft has just helped you students out there by giving away an Xbox 360 to students who purchase a new Windows 7 PC from participating retailers.
The sale beings May 22 and runs until the allotted supplies run out. The offer is currently only available to gamers.. err, I mean students, in the United States, but Microsoft is planning to make the same offer to students in Canada and France. The participating retailers include Dell and HP, who’s PCs will run about $700 USD.
You must have a valid “.edu” e-mail address and will be required to verify your status as a student. If you don’t have a .edu e-mail address you can show the retailer your valid student ID. For more information you might want to check out Microsofts official website.
Operation Flashpoint: Red River
Realistic U.S. Marine battle
Operation Flashpoint: Red River is a first-person that gives you a pretty authentic experience as a U.S. Marine Corps infantryman. The game portrays a fictional battle played out in the remote country of Tajikistan, which lies along the Vakhsh River. This game isn’t for everyone as it immerses the player in the tension, carnage and brutality that comes with Marine deployment in a hostile country.
Red River is a successor of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and includes a more streamlined inventory and control system, a more refined AI system, as well as customizable XP upgrades choices. The ever popular co-op mode allows you to test your tactics and teamwork against others in some distinct ways.
The game will release on PC and the PS3 on June 7th and naturally will be rated M for mature.
Infamous 2
Upgraded pre-order package
As a result of the PSN outage, Sony and Sucker Punch haven’t had much of an opportunity to hype the beta test for Infamous 2. Plans for the test are still experiencing some instability but Sony will be encouraging gamers with a bonus pre-order package for the open-world action adventure game.
There are four additional items added to the pre-order package, The Reaper skin, which lets you play as one of the super powered evil beings, and three in-game weapons, Sly’s Cane, the caveman club and a samurai sword. All four items are downloadable with a unique code.
Early this week Sony announced that Infamous 2 has gone gold even before it June 7th release date. The original Infamous is offered for free as part of Sony’s “Welcome Back” program and can be acquired starting May 24th, which is when Sony says the PlayStation store will be back online.
Hunted: The Demon’s Forge
Dark, fantasy, RPG
In the dark fantasy game, Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, you are taken down a dark, twisted path of death, sacrifice, and slavery as you travel deeper into the world of Kala Moor to uncover the secrets of The Demon’s Forge. Why are you doing all of this? Well because you’ve been promised fame and a fortune in gold of course. That and, dreadful creatures have emerged from underground at the same time townsfolk have turned up missing and it is your task to find out where they have gone.
